Ella Flagg Tenants Union
"One Union, One People"
The Ella Flagg Tenants Union is a member-controlled tenants union formed under the ELTU umbrella. Located in the heart of Uptown, Ella Flagg Young Apartments is a 200+ unit senior public housing development that has an extensive history of disinvestment. In late 2021, Ella Flagg tenants were inspired by the organizing efforts in the neighboring multi-family HUD building, Eastwood Tower apartments, and decided to form their own tenant's union independent of the local housing authority.
